Hello, my name is Craig Davies, and I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist, having trained for around eight years at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC).
My professional background for almost the last twenty years has been working within the mental health field which has included a variety of roles in both the private sector and NHS. I have worked with children, young people and adults in community and inpatient settings and am familiar with supporting individuals who may be experiencing a wide range of issues such as addiction, eating disorders, abuse, PTSD, self-harming behaviours, anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, identity issues, sexual problems, obsessive-compulsive disorders, psychosis and delusional ideas, problems related to anger and shame and many other difficulties that I feel are an understandable part of being human. It is my strong belief that the majority of people engaged in helping others are drawn to this type of work because of their own experiences of powerful emotions and/or punishing patterns of behaviour.
I have many personal interests which include literature, politics, football, music and art. I live at home with my partner and daughters.
